Happy holidays, everyone! I know we all are in for a pretty challenging 2012 and for several years beyond. It is likely to get much tougher for many of us. All the more important to get yourself free of as much distress as possible so you can handle what&#8217;s coming at us all in this very chaotic and rapidly changing (deteriorating?) world .<br />
It can be pretty scary the way things are going. So it is even more important, and indeed even urgent, to get your psychological house in order. And there&#8217;s no better way to do that better than by using BSFF to eliminate the many distresses that you already have and to prepare yourself to I have to react to the challenges ahead in the next year or two or three. So begin to diligently clean house and your subconscious mind.<br />

The crux of Occam&#8217;s Razor is that this theory that most simply operates that explains all of the phenomena involved is viewed as the most valid and useful theoretical understanding of some process or phenomenon. I am convinced that BSFF theory meets all those requirements for optimal psychological treatment methodology.</span></p>

These attempts cannot set you free of any of your mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual problems. Effective treatment must always thoroughly eliminate all of the subconscious programming that creates, maintains and triggers our psychological problems. And we all have some problems don&#8217;t we?. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">We certainly did not consciously choose to have any of these problems. They were programmed into us without our awareness or permission throughout our lifetime. But now we can completely eliminate each of them.</span></p>

All that accomplishes is to temporarily escape from and reduce our awareness and our ability to detect the problem. However, you can be sure that the problem will show up again, over and over – – many times very quickly.</span></p>

Treatment must also be thorough in order to be truly effective and lasting.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The only method that can do this treatment work thoroughly, completely and permanently is Be Set Free Fast (BSFF). All other methods are less direct and do not intentionally address the subconscious programming that controls our psychological problems. Therefore, they are less efficient and less thorough. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Talking about, explaining, understanding or diagnosing a problem does nothing to eliminate it. Likewise, releasing lots of emotion about the problem only gets temporary relief, but it does not eliminate the problem. Mentally rehashing the painful experience and re-expressing the emotions related to it actually create new trauma to our systems. Them these problems need to be treated, too. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Much deeper and more thorough work needs to be done. This is true for all traditional psychotherapy methods, including those developed in the last decade or two. This is also true for the more recent development of “Energy Psychology” methodologies. The latter do some pretty wonderful things compared to our traditional methods. I know because I am one of the earliest founders of methodologies in this genre. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">I was first psychologist to be trained by the psychologist who developed of the first energy psychology methodology. I am truly and old-timer in this new genre. Even more importantly, my work goes way beyond any of the other developments in energy psychology methods.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Very Important Note: </span></span><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Please understand that I am not saying that many of these various energy psychology methods do not do some good. Many people I know and respect for doing this work are skilled and loving helpers – – many of them highly qualified and dedicated professionals. I appreciate and respect them all. I have learned much from them.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">I&#8217;m telling you about BSFF so you will understand that there is a much simpler and better way to get the job done. I, personally, and not oriented to marketing and sales and publicity. Therefore, I have not done a good job of<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>getting this message out to a wider public. So I&#8217;m doing that now. I know that you will find BSFF much easier to learn and to apply in your daily life. Therefore, you are much more likely to actually use it and be set free. That&#8217;s what I want – – for everyone to be set free of their psychological burdens. So please bear with me here.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Those &#8220;energy therapies” can do some amazing things. I was delighted with the results I got when I first began using tapping on acupuncture meridians to eliminate problems. But, because of this indirect approach in treatment they did not fully and intentionally access the <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>most basic, fundamental causal source of psychological problems. They did not fully access all of the causal subconscious programming. You</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">It&#8217;s almost &#8220;accidental&#8221; when these methods do actually eliminate a problem. And the stability of the results with relying on meridians is rather problematic. Currently there are many variations of tapping, touching and holding and uses of other energy systems to eliminate the psychological problems. They all have this same limitation of only in a for directly and consistently accessing and eliminating subconscious programming.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">I never doubted that meridians were involved in the process of activating problems. But I never believed that they were the basic cause of the creation of problems. So I kept searching until I discovered the causal source was <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>subconscious programming. So the &#8220;Meridian Therapies&#8221; are not directly and intentionally addressing the actual basic source of the problem in their treatment protocol.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Therefore these methods are not as comprehensive and thorough as needed for achieving complete and permanent freedom from our debilitating psychological problems. Nor are they anywhere as easy to learn and use as BSFF. Unlike with BSFF, the job often is not fully and permanently done. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 10pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">That is why I&#8217;m telling you all of this. I want everyone to be set free of all of the problems that beset them. I want to live in that kind of world – – or people free to love themselves and each other and to truly enjoy their lives.</span></p>

I know it because I’ve tried so many different treatment methods, both for myself and in helping others. I know it because </span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I started developing </span><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">BSFF over 22 years ago; and I&#8217;ve seen what it can do and other energy psychology methodologies cannot do so simply, efficiently and effectively.</span></span></p>

With BSFF this is done by using our thought energy. Thought is the highest level of energy in human beings.</span></p>

The subconscious always does that on cue. Of course, in many circumstances there are multiple problems to treat. But each specific problem is eliminated with one use of the cue word.</span></p>

Some of it is positive for us and helps us to automatically react in functional ways. That’s great. But way too much of it in the subconscious programming causes much stress and distress, along with much dysfunctional reacting. This dysfunctional reacting creates even more stress and stress for us. So we have more and more psychological problems that need to be eliminated.</span></p>

<p>Self-Help for Depression #4 &amp; Public Speaking Anxiety</p>
<p>Hello everyone.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s get practical now. Here&#8217;s a couple of practical things you can do with BSFF to help eliminate depression. When I&#8217;m training people how to skillfully use self-help for depression, public speaking anxiety or for almost any kind of mental or emotional problem, here are some basic initial BSFF treatments.</p>
<p>First, do a general overall treatment for&#8221; every problem that would keep me from eliminating my depression complete and permanently.&#8221; Usually, just one use of this treatment is sufficient.</p>
<p>Second, start treating for every distress or negativity that you can consciously notice in your thinking, emotions or body. You don&#8217;t have to figure out, understand, label or explain what you are noticing. All you need to do is consciously notice that some problem exists. Then use your cue word for each problem that you notice. Keep doing treatments for each probl: em that shows up in your awareness.</p>
<p>Your subconscious mind knows exactly what you intend for it treat when you consciously notice a distressing problem of any kind. Your subconscious mind is observing and recording all of your experience, both internal and external. It always has been doing that. It has your entire life history of experience recorded and it knows all about every problem that you have.</p>
<p>Your subconscious will do all of the treatment work for you. It will do it immediately and gently. All you have to do is notice that some problem is  occurring in your present experience and simply use your cue word until all the related problems are gone. It&#8217;s very important that you be alertly thorough in treating everything. This will work for depression, anxiety of any kind, all kinds fears, sadness, anger at any other kind of problem you have in your mind, emotions or body.</p>
<p>It really is that simple. Your challenge will likely be to keep treating until you thoroughly eliminate everything you could possibly find related to your depression. After all, we have a strong tendency to shut down when we are depressed and to lose our motivation to help ourselves. So, you may find yourself wanting to stop or give up doing BE SET FREE FAST treatments.</p>
<p>The simple use of your cue word for the problem of wanting to stop or feeling blocked from moving forward in the treatments is usually all that&#8217;s needed. Simply use BSFF to he treat the block, like you would treat any other problem, until you are all the way to the end of that resistance. Then move on to continue treating your depression until it is completely gone.</p>
<p>It is important to realize that any tendency to stop doing the treatments before you completely finishe eliminating any issue you are working on is simply another problem showing up that is readily treated with your cue word. Typically it takes only one use of your cue to clear up the blocks to moving forward in treatments. But treat until it is completely gone.</p>
<p>The rare exception that requires multiple treatments is when there is a specific set of problems working in combination that block progress. I call that a &#8220;Fail Safe System.&#8221; It happens rarely, but it does occur so it is important to know about it.  You will see that system in detail in the BSFF book and on the BSFF DVD Training Set.</p>
<p>I assure you, BSFF is that easy to use.  And it works– –every time you use your cue. Of course you need to read my BSFF book or watch my BSFF DVD Training Set to know how to give your subconscious proper instructions about what you want it to do when you use your cue. There is more about how to skillfully use BSFF.</p>
<p>You will be delighted about the results you get for yourself with BSFF. I wish you well. And I do mean… well. You can have that wellness for yourself.</p>

<p>Hi, everyone. I want to encourage you to get free of these issues in your life. You don&#8217;t have to struggle with these issues anymore. You don&#8217;t have to suffer with them. You don&#8217;t have to struggle with them. It really is true now that you can eliminate them so they are not there to overcome or struggle with.</p>
<p>Struggling and valiant attempts to overcome these issues always end up in frustration and disappointment and discouragement.</p>

<p>NOTE: Hello, everyone. This is a long post. I&#8217;m sharing with you much about my early history of major depression and severe anxiety. I hope to show you that it is quite possible to get through these difficult things. I had to do it the hard way before I had BESETFREEFAST. Happily, I will now show you how you don&#8217;t have to deal with depression and anxiety the hard way anymore. Read this entire article y so ou&#8217;ll get the full picture of how you can be set free fast.</p>
<p>Well, let me tell you something about my history of depression and anxiety and how I finally got through it. Then I&#8217;ll tell you more about how you can help yourself with it much quicker and easier than I did. I&#8217;m going to be very open and personal in sharing with you about my history of depression and anxiety. I believe it will be helpful to you know that someone else has been through this. And I do mean <span style="text-decoration: underline;">through it</span>. You can get through it, too.</p>
<p>You can defeat your depression and anxiety, and all of the other distresses that always go along with it. Each time they are triggered,  these severe issues create many new emotional and stress problems, don&#8217;t they? Finally, it&#8217;s really possible to get rid of those awful reactions – – instead of just struggling to cope with them. Coping just doesn&#8217;t work well. Believe me I tried everything I could find to deal with depression and anxiety. All the coping skills I could find just left the problems intact to keep being triggered again. </p>
<p>I&#8217;ll tell you how you can thoroughly resolve all depression and anxiety symptoms. I know because I&#8217;ve helped hundreds of people learn how to do it. I&#8217;ve been developing it for over 21 years now. I&#8217;ve been using it for myself, too.</p>
<p>Depression can be very overwhelming. I know, because I&#8217;ve been there. In fact I was severely depressed throughout my childhood and well into my adult years. I could barely hang on to any hope that anything would ever get better for me. I thought I was worthless and that I didn&#8217;t ever deserve anything good in life. I thought I was not good-looking or desirable as a male; and that I would never be adequate or good enough in any way. </p>
<p>Anyone who has been depressed for very long at all has a pretty good idea of what I felt like all those years. You know what it&#8217;s like to continually rehearse how helpless, hopeless and awful you are as a person. You know what it&#8217;s like when you turn that inward on yourself, where there is no place to hide from it.</p>
<p> I never even dated or learned to dance in high school. I was wallflower. I was painfully shy. I was sure that I would be judged, criticized and rejected by everyone. I could not look anybody in the eye because I knew they would see what a terrible, awful person I was. And I felt very alone and lonely. I was one desperate kid and my depression got worse throughout my early adult years.</p>
<p>My grades in high school were as mediocre as you can get.  In my high school graduating class of 71 students I ranked 36th and tied with someone else. You cannot be more average than that. And that&#8217;s exactly where I thought I fit in. I know now that my subconscious mind had been programmed to cause me to fulfill that internal belief about myself. Other programming in my subconscious made me depressed, severely  anxious, constantly tense… and miserable.</p>
<p>Emotionally, I suffered enormously throughout my childhood and early adulthood years. I could really give you a long litany of how bad it was in so many ways. But I will spare you all those unpleasant details.</p>
<p> You certainly could say I was working hard at coping with depression. And I knew nothing about self-help for depression until many years later. For many years I did not even realize I was depressed. In my family and community people just to talk about such things. I just suffered silently with my depression. I became very angry, bitter,  extremely anxious, hostile, judgmental and critical and very unforgiving of other people. But the worst of it was that I was treating myself the same way! And when you do that there&#8217;s no place go but down a very dark road. There was no place to hide from myself.</p>
<p>I was the second child and the oldest son of eight children. As the oldest son of farmers in Iowa, I was expected (demanded) to be responsible, a good example for my younger siblings and always to work hard– – no matter what the weather and working conditions were. I heard my father say many times, &#8220;You do what you have to do.&#8221; And we did.</p>
<p>This all took place in the absence of any recognition or approval for how well I did anything. When I would try to hint in some way to get my father to say he approved of what I had done or that I had done something well are acceptably, he would say something like,&#8221; Well, you ought to be able to do it. You&#8217;re 12 years old.&#8221;</p>
<p>Also, I was never told that I was liked or loved by my parents. (I had to tell myself &#8221; mom and dad love me, but they just don&#8217;t know how to show it.&#8221;) That was one way that I tried to cope with the severe deficits in my emotional upbringing.</p>
<p>My parents came through the Great Depression. All they knew to do was to work hard, which they had to do with eight children to provide for. There was no time for feelings. They provided for our basic needs, food, clothing and shelter. They made sure that we got to school; but they never showed much interest in what we were doing at. They never saved any of the papers or pictures that we created.</p>
<p> To their credit, they did attend our music performances and plays that we in. But I sure don&#8217;t remember ever being complemented about any of it. We did get recognition for our birthdays and that Christmas. And the Easter Bunny came. So, if it wasn&#8217;t all bad.</p>
<p>Oerall, it&#8217;s amazing that my parents did as well as they did. They pushed themselves very hard to provide for us. They had little time for anything else. They never learned how to respond to our emotional needs. I now realize that they believed that they were not supposed to. Likewise, we were not allowed to express our thoughts and feelings. I do respect and love them for what they did provide for all of us kids. I just wished they could have expressed their love for us – – for me</p>
<p>I was born in a farmhouse in Iowa. We moved to this little town in Iowa when I was eight years old. I was always suffering in the cold Winter weather because I was a skinny little kid and had no fat on me to protect from the cold. And my life was always physically very difficult because I was so small. Well I still am small. (I now weigh 139 pounds ; and I have never been heavier than 150 pounds.) That&#8217;s actually better for me now. But it sure didn&#8217;t feel like an advantage being so small way back then!</p>
<p>As I mentioned in my BSFF DVD Training Set, I was so seriously depressed and anxious for so long that in my young adult years I made three quite intentional and purposeful suicide attempts. I would plan them out to the last detail. I would think about them for months, and then finally go and start carrying out my plan to kill myself. I thought the world would be better off without me in it. I couldn&#8217;t stand the pain anymore. Of course I was very miserable in between those times, too.</p>
<p>Each of those three times I got up to the last moment to “finish myself off&#8221; and then backed away from it. I mean, I got right to the very edge of it each time. It was scary! I&#8217;m still not sure why I didn&#8217;t complete my plans. I guess I just got too scared. Or maybe I had not yet totally given up hope. </p>
<p>I won&#8217;t tell you any of the gory details of how I was planning to do it. But I had three very creative plans; and being a driven perfectionist, I had excellent plans. Each of them would work very well for anyone who is as determined as I was!</p>
<p>It wasn&#8217;t until I was in graduate school that I finally gave up on the idea of killing myself. I said to myself, &#8220;Larry, you have run enough experiments on yourself to know that you&#8217;re not really going to kill yourself. You might as well give up on that idea and get those ideas out of your head.&#8221; But, will took me many more years before I could completely eliminate those images and the idea out of my head. It wasn&#8217;t until I learned BESETFREEFAST that I eliminated the posttraumatic stress (PTSD) from those old traumatic experiences. The suicidal radiation had been long gone, but the PTSD lingered. </p>
<p>I&#8217;m sure some of you dear readers know something about this, too. I&#8217;m really sorry you had to go through that. Or maybe you&#8217;re still struggling with some level of depression or anxiety. If you are, I can tell you that there is real hope for eliminating that awful stuff now.</p>
<p>But maybe you had those problems in the past and have found some way to cope with them well enough that they don&#8217;t seem to be plaguing you anymore. Well, I want to alert you to the very likely fact that there is probably residual, unresolved stress and trauma from those previous experiences. And this &#8220;unfinished emotional business&#8221; is very likely still negatively impacting your life in many ways that you would not consciously recognize.</p>
<p>This old unfinished business it is very likely to be negatively affecting your self-image, the self-confidence, your ability to relate to people in ways that meet your needs best and fully, is affecting the way you view life and the world around you and very likely holding you back from being able to experience rich and deep relationships that all of us need and long for. We rarely are aware that these things are going on inside of us .</p>
<p>Well, Id to get rid of my depression mostly the hard way. I still made it through it all. I didn&#8217;t do it all by myself, but I made it. You don&#8217;t have to do it all by yourself, either. Fortunately, it doesn&#8217;t have to be hard for you to eliminate your depression, anxiety and all that painful stuff that goes with it. My BE SET FREE FAST program can help you enormously.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m so blessed that I have helped lots of people with their depression and anxiety issues in the 45 years that I&#8217;ve been in my profession. There&#8217;s not much of it I would ever care to repeat, but it has been very valuable for me as a person and as a counselor.</p>
<p>You may wonder why I&#8217;m comfortable sharing this with you so readily. Well I eventually got a whole lot healthier psychologically. And my misery ultimately led me to becoming a clinical psychologist. Because I&#8217;m a very open person about myself. I have learned that sharing my experiences is courage to my clients. This helps them to know that I really do understand what they&#8217;re experiencing. I can also reassure them that there is hope for getting through it. That&#8217;s what I want to do for you, too.</p>
<p>You see, I was fascinated with a psychology in high school. From then on I thought it would like to be a psychologist. But the school counselor, who taught the class, said that I would have to have at least a Master’s Degree in psychology in order to succeed in that field. Well, I was convinced that I was too dumb to even go to college, let alone get a graduate degree!</p>
<p>Was I dumb? Not really, but way back then I sure believed that I was not very smart at all. When I graduated from high school I did not know that I was going to college that fall. I thought I would continue working with my father as a plumber and fixing pumps and windmills on the surrounding farms in the county. That would be my life work. It&#8217;s where I fit in. I&#8217;d never really considered any other possibility for myself.</p>
<p>However, my father apparently realized that such hard physical labor was too difficult for me for a career. So I found myself in a small college in Northeastern Iowa that September of 1952.Well I floundered around there for two years; and I was getting mediocre grades overall. I took three quarters of the required mathematics classes. This was a nine-month emotional horror for me. It was awful! And, I suffered horribly in those classes because I could not do math at all – – never could before either.</p>
<p>The very nice old math professor would have six students go up to the chalkboard to work the same problem. I quickly learned to dread that because I never could finish the problems. So I was always mortified, shamed and humiliated repeatedly for that entire school year. This  kind professor recognized my problem and had me over to his house to tutor me for free. It did not help. I was a lost cause in mathematics</p>
<p>Because of his kindness, this math professor gave me the grades of D for each of those three quarters. But I did not earn any of those Ds. I earned Fs. He was just a nice person and gracious to me about the grades. So I didn&#8217;t have to take any of those classes over again! What a relief!</p>
<p>Then in an Organic Chemistry class in my second year, I also had a terrible time. We had to balance equations, which I could not do, and the language of chemistry was tough for me – – I think because of my dyslexia. So, about half-way through the course I just quit going to that class. I went and played tennis for the rest of that term. That was my way to relieve my stress to some degree – – a way to cope with it.</p>
<p>But I felt very guilty and fearful about my parent&#8217; s reaction when they learned about the grade I would get. After all, I was sure that it confirmed that I was really a failure. And my stress kept coming back. No one pursued me to help me like a nice old math professor did. Guess what? My grade in that class was an F. I flunked it.</p>
<p>What these professors didn&#8217;t know; and I certainly did not know until over 30 years later, that I have Dyslexia. I also did not know &#8216; till much later that I also had ADD. No wonder I cannot do math or read well! I have such a problem with reading! I reverse numbers and letters a lot. I didn&#8217;t know why I was having such problems with studying and retention. I was just certain that I was “dumb&#8221; It really was a horrible time for me.</p>
<p>So, after two years of academic mediocrity I left college and joined the Army. I thought, “I’ll give myself time to grow up and figure out what I want to do with my life.&#8221; I needed time to do that. The Army wasn&#8217;t much better for me. I was a machinist in the Army. That was okay; but what I really wanted to do was to be trained in a foreign language and become an interpreter. So much for that idea! I flunked the language aptitude test because of my reading difficulty</p>
<p>I like to read and learn but reading is still a big problem for me. I&#8217;m a very slow reader and I cannot type very well because I reverse letters a lot. I spend a lot of time editing my typing errors. It takes be a long time to respond to e-mails and to write articles that I want to share, including this one.</p>
<p>But, I did start studying psychology. While I was in the Army; and continued to be fascinated with it. So I decided to go back to college and major in psychology. I didn&#8217;t expect it to be easy, but I knew that&#8217;s what I wanted to do. I knew there had to be something better for me.</p>
<p> I was very determined to do as well as I could in college. I was desperate, perfectionistic , I had high expectations of myself and I was terrified that I might fail in life. So I put a lot of pressure on myself and I worked very hard. Then I was amazed when I got all A&#8217;s and B&#8217;s in the first semester back in school. I never could have imagined that I could do that. But I never got any lower grades after that.</p>
<p> My dyslexia made reading and statistics classes very difficult; and my ADD made me pretty distractible and fidgety. But I worked hard and long and got all the way through. But I paid a terrible price in those last seven years of college! I was really traumatized by the time I I got my Doctor&#8217;s Degree in 1964. I&#8217;m sure I would&#8217;ve been diagnosed as having PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder). For several years after that, when I would go back on a college campus I would literally physically tremble.</p>
<p> Finally, after much counseling and using a lot of less than helpful self-help techniques, I somehow worked my way through it. How I wish I would&#8217;ve had BSFF back then. As a matter of fact, it would have been wonderful if I had it when I was four years old!</p>
<p> So how can I help you with these issues in your life? Or, how can I help you learn to help others with them?</p>

<p>I have been on vacation for much of July and August. Believe me, it was much needed! I had been ill much of last year but now I&#8217;m fully recovered and going strong. I will be 77 on 9 – 11. And, I believe I have a long way to go yet in helping folks with BSFF. There is much more to come.</p>
<p>Now I want to pick up where I left off in July. I&#8217;ll be writing more about self-help for depression and coping with depression. I&#8217;ll also be writing more about public speaking anxiety, and overcoming fear of public speaking distresses and limitations of any kind.</p>
<p>Just let me say for now that you do not have to labor under these stresses and limitations anymore. BSFF is a very simple and easy to use way for you to be free of these problems.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p> Hello, everyone. Here are some thoughts about coping with depression that I think will be helpful for you</p>
<p>First of all, my heart goes out to those of you who are struggling to cope with depression. Depression is one of the toughest problems for anyone to work with. First of all, when we are depressed we have no motivation to really try to cope with depression. Instead, we tend to try to escape from it, to distract ourselves or to explain it away – – if possible, and of course it&#8217;s not really possible. our depression.</p>
<p>Many of you have probably tried some sort of self-help for depression, and you have probably been <span style="text-decoration: underline;">met</span> with little or no progress in your efforts. Previously, I have written some posts about self-help for depression. I encourage you to read those, too.</p>
<p>I know a lot about depression – – really a lot! I was severely depressed through most of my childhood and early adult years. It was so bad that I was quite suicidal. Several times I even carefully planned in detail and intended to kill myself. Fortunately, in my actual attempts with each time I backed away from certain death at the very last moment.</p>
<p>Now it&#8217;s very obvious to me that God pulled me back from the brink each of those times when I was determined to kill myself. I know now that He had much more in mind for me my life. But I sure didn&#8217;t know that back then.</p>
<p>Now, as I&#8217;m about to turn 77 years of age, I can confidently say that God has given me an absolutely wonderful life. All of that misery I went through for all those years was great training for my calling in life.</p>
<p>It gave me the experience and understanding of what people go through with depression, anxiety, criticalness and unforgiveness, perfectionism and a myriad of other psychological problems that I struggled with for so many years). What a training program that was!</p>
<p>Well, through much hard work, lots of counseling and psychotherapy, lots of learning other ways to deal with my life I finally got through most of that depression and I was able to function reasonably well in my life.</p>
<p>But that was the hard way to do it. Talk about coping with depression! Talk therapies, emotionally release therapies, behavioral modification, marriage counseling and a bunch of other approaches could never get the job completely done. They just could not completely eliminate my emotional distress is and my lousy thinking.Finally, God gave me this remarkable new tool of BE SET FREE FAST. At last, I could eliminate <span style="text-decoration: underline;">all</span> of the remnants of depression, anxiety, and the rest of my devastating feelings of helplessness and hopelessness that had been still hanging on, although not preventing me from functioning fairly well in my profession and in my life. </p>
<p>But to be completely free of all of that junk by using BSFF F was such a wonderful blessing! I could now see the world more clearly (even though there a lot of things I might wish that I did not have to see) and I could function far more fully and skillfully in managing my life and in helping others in my profession. Life suddenly became very rich and rewarding for me.</p>
<p>I am now thrilled, delighted and content in my second (and last) marriage for over 40 years now. : –) I&#8217;m also deeply fulfilled and satisfied in my profession.-Able to help people worldwide to eliminate their emotional stresses of all kinds and also eliminate their personal limitations that have been holding them back in their life.</p>
<p>Yes,&#8221; I practice what I preach.&#8221; I have used BSFF for myself before many years, and I still use my cue word whenever something bugs me or disturbs me in any way. I&#8217;m not willing to put up with any of that stuff anymore. I have done a lot of work on myself and I continue to do it. The freedom that I have in myself and in my life now is wonderful!</p>
<p>Well, I want that freedom for you, too. And I know that you can have that freedom for yourself. BSFF F doesn&#8217;t show you how to be better at coping with depression or any other emotional distress.</p>

You don&#8217;t have to be depressed anymore. You don&#8217;t have to be stressed anymore. You do not have to give up on yourself anymore. You can take charge of your life, and you will have a true choice about how you want to live your life and wish to experience when you use BSFF. You will truly be set free.</p>
<p>I am rooting for you on this. I&#8217;ve seen it happen for hundreds of people in my rest of practice and did my own experience. I want that for you, too.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hello, again. We all know that depression can be very very difficult to deal with. It robs us of our joy, our peace and our confidence. Depression can destroy our self image– – our self-esteem and the way we view ourselves in life and in the world.</p>
<p>For many of us when we are depressed we to give up on ourselves as human beings, as person of value.  We feel helpless, hopeless, desping and disappointed in ourselves. Often there are huge amounts of guilt and shame.  The same heavy mood seems to cycle over and over again.</p>
<p>But behind all of this negative emotions is always some kind of fear. In fact, some sort of fear is always at the very deepest root of every psychological issue. One of the ways many people try to deal with this fear is to become angry. And it doesn&#8217;t make much difference where the anger is directed. Anger makes us imagine that we are somehow stronger. Anger for gets our energy going, so it can motivate us to get up and get moving, at least for a while.</p>
<p>The big problem with anger is that itoften gets turned inward and directed at ourselves. After all were not doing very much. But th    is sets up alittle psychologial war within us. Then frequently, wedon&#8217;t feel like doing much of anything. We lack the self-confidence to take on any new task because we really don&#8217;t think we can do a very good job anyway.  Who cares what we do or don&#8217;t do anyhow? Besides, we don&#8217;t really deserve anything good to happen anyhow.</p>
<p>This kind of scenario can go on and on and on  with many more unpleasant thoughts and feelings. We may eventually start to feel a little bit more hope, so we try to do something about our situation.</p>
<p>But, because we&#8217;ve never been taught how to really deal effectively with our internal world of emotions and thoughts, our struggles to deal with it don&#8217;t work out very well. This leaves us with even more negative thoughts and feelings, including more anger at ourselves, at others, and the world. This is really a deadly cycle of desperation and despair.</p>
<p>Eventually, we will gradually start feeling more like trying again. Maybe even starting to feel hopeful again. So we get up and start moving. But so often, it doesn&#8217;t last long. So  life catches up with  again – – or so it seems. And the more severe the depression, the mower immobilized we become. </p>
<p>Likewise, someone may be pressuring us to function better – – to accomplish something is. To get up and get moving. And so we may get up and move and possibly even  start doing something constructive. But it&#8217;s equally likely that we may just pretend to be doing something, all the while feeling terrible, and then withdraw into our depression again. So here we go more anger at ourselves and the world and life.</p>
<p>In our struggle we may try various techniques of self – help for depression. But, because of our negative attitudes about ourselves we don&#8217;t feel worthy to really have success anyway. Probably we believe we are not really smart enough to do the self-help method effectively. Therefore, we don&#8217;t really get anywhere with any technique we try. This is where BSFF can come to our rescue.</p>
<p>BE S ET FREE FAST is a wonderful tool of self-help for depression. It&#8217;s a very simple, yet powerful and highly effective self-help tool for most any kind of emotional problem.</p>
<p>Yes, I know that is probably hard to believe if you&#8217;ve been struggling to cope with depression and nothing seems to work for you. So I suggest that you check out BSFF for yourself. You will be amazingly surprised at what you can actually do now to effectively help yourself to be set free of all of these old, terrible, destructive and limiting problems. You don&#8217;t have to stay stuck there anymore.</p>
<p>&#8221; Oh, really?&#8221; &#8221; I&#8217;ve heard that song and dance before.&#8221; &#8221; I&#8217;ve tried all kinds of self-help tools.&#8221;  &#8220; I&#8217;ve been to counseling. None of it got rid of my depression.&#8221; &#8221; Why should I believe that your method would work any better than anything else?&#8221;</p>
<p>I know, I know. Believe me, I know it only too well! I was seriously depressed for about 30 years – – even suicidal. I tried everything I could find to help me. I tried many self-help methods. I tried positive thinking. I tried affirmations. I tried counseling. None of it worked for me either.</p>
<p>Oh, yes. I might feel better for a very little while. But, it would never last. Fortunately for me, I was able to get the support and encouragement that I needed in order to change my attitude. That took a long time. I had to get through it the hard way. But I finally did.</p>
<p>So now I sure understood what people are going through with depression, anxiety and all kinds of emotional distress. Now, as a psychologist for the last 4 five or so years I have learned and used many traditional psychotherapy methods in my efforts to try to help people more. But I found that none of them could really get a person  completely set free of their distresses. All could help somewhat. But none of them could  really get the job totally finished.</p>
<p>Then, in 1990 I learned about energy psychology. I was trained in it and found that it worked fantastically better than anything that I had ever seen. I worked with it and gradually refined it and eventually developed BE SET FREE FAST. I chose that name for it because that&#8217;s exactly what it does.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been using the BSFF tools that are or will you are for over 21 years. I have seen absolutely amazing and wonderful things happen for people as well as for myself. You can too. I know you can. I have helped hundreds and hundreds of people by showing them how to use BSFF for themselves.</p>
<p>You see, BSFF is a self-help method that actually works. It goes way beyond anything we could ever do before in my field of psychology. </p>
<p>So I encourage you to learn and  use BSFF and you will be set free of depression and all kinds of other mental and emotion issues. And one of the neat things about BSFF is that you don&#8217;t have to believe that it will work or not. If you use BSFF it will work, because that the way our minds are made to work.</p>
<p>BSFF is really very simple and easy to learn and use. And it is a very practical tool you could have for the the rest of your life to help yourself whenever you for check spelling spellcheck for are distressed about anything.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll be saying a much more about depression in future posts. We haven&#8217;t discussed the severe problem of anger and unforgiveness toward ourselves and others that is automatically involved when we are depressed or have any kind of mental/emotional problem. Whenever we think we have any problem or automatically angry at ourselves, we then judge and criticize ourselves, which then causes us to be unforgiving to ourselves. Then there is no place to hide. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Oh my, this challenge of getting rid of depression has been very frustrating and discouraging for so many people! However, what is really exciting is that there is a very effective way of doing that now. Even more wonderful is that it can be done by an individual him or herself. I&#8217;m so very thankful that I&#8217;ve been given the gift of sharing this self-help tool with people allover the world. You</p>
<p>We have waited so long to find a truly effective method. Up to all we could do was try to cope with depression. We try to avoid it. We medicated it. We criticize ourselves about having depression. We think some method might work for other people but not for us. And so often, we just give up on it and just keep on suffering. The despair, the hopelessness, helplessness, the downright anger about it all just wear us down more and more. It really is pretty awful. It&#8217;s really been horrible for so many people.</p>
<p>Believe me, I know about this personal struggle this extremely well. I&#8217;ve been through it. I know it for my own personal experience of being severely depressed for over 30 years in my early life. And then, as a clinical psychologist, I dealt with it hundreds and hundreds of times. Yes, I was able to help people somewhat with the many traditional psychology methods that I had been trained in. But I got increasingly frustrated and disappointed with the limitations of those approaches. I wanted to be able to <em>eliminate the depression</em> symptoms completely. But, our traditional methods just could not do that. They could help, but they could not get of the depression completely.</p>
<p>So, I kept searching for a better way to be able to really help people, &#8217;cause that&#8217;s what I really wanted to do. I wanted people to be set free of depression, anxiety, fear, sadness, loss and grief and stress and distresses of all kinds. I was never willing to settle for just helping a person get a little better. But that&#8217;s all we knew to do in my field of psychology. We could give support to help them sort things out a little more clearly and we give them some more skillful coping strategies but we could not get rid of the symptoms completely.So I was pretty heartsick about that.</p>
<p>Now, I am so excited and happy to be able to say that I have a way of really getting the job done . I&#8217;m going to be writing about this issue in the next two or three posts on this list. And I will be delighted to respond to any of your questions or concerns about what I&#8217;m going to be sharing with you. However, I&#8217;m going to be going into some detail about all the different aspects of depression and how you can deal with them skillfully with BSFF.</p>
<p>If you are already familiar with my BE SET FREE FAST self-help program then you already know something about what I&#8217;ll be sharing with you. However, I plan to be sharing much more detail about the kinds of things you can treat that are related to or involved with depression. I expect this information to be helpful and useful, not only for people who are struggling in their coping with depression, but also for people who are trying to help other people deal with that issue.(Let me say here how much I appreciate people who are trying to help other people with their emotional distresses. I value all of you very highly.)</p>

<p>In some previous posts I&#8217;ve already discussed public speaking anxiety, overcoming fear of public speaking. And I&#8217;ll probably be addressing some of those issues again. So, if you want asked about any of that puppy happy to respond also. Certainly I want to respond to anybody&#8217;s concerns about those issues, as well. But for now I want to address issues about depression –– to help you in coping with depression and in applying truly effective self help for depression. You will see how you can help yourself with this very debilitating issue –– he and get it completely out of your life.</p>
