We have waited so long to find a truly effective method. Up to all we could do was try to cope with depression. We try to avoid it. We medicated it. We criticize ourselves about having depression. We think some method might work for other people but not for us. And so often, we just give up on it and just keep on suffering. The despair, the hopelessness, helplessness, the downright anger about it all just wear us down more and more. It really is pretty awful. It’s really been horrible for so many people.

Believe me, I know about this personal struggle this extremely well. I’ve been through it. I know it for my own personal experience of being severely depressed for over 30 years in my early life. And then, as a clinical psychologist, I dealt with it hundreds and hundreds of times. Yes, I was able to help people somewhat with the many traditional psychology methods that I had been trained in. But I got increasingly frustrated and disappointed with the limitations of those approaches. I wanted to be able to eliminate the depression symptoms completely. But, our traditional methods just could not do that. They could help, but they could not get of the depression completely.

So, I kept searching for a better way to be able to really help people, ’cause that’s what I really wanted to do. I wanted people to be set free of depression, anxiety, fear, sadness, loss and grief and stress and distresses of all kinds. I was never willing to settle for just helping a person get a little better. But that’s all we knew to do in my field of psychology. We could give support to help them sort things out a little more clearly and we give them some more skillful coping strategies but we could not get rid of the symptoms completely.So I was pretty heartsick about that.

Now, I am so excited and happy to be able to say that I have a way of really getting the job done . I’m going to be writing about this issue in the next two or three posts on this list. And I will be delighted to respond to any of your questions or concerns about what I’m going to be sharing with you. However, I’m going to be going into some detail about all the different aspects of depression and how you can deal with them skillfully with BSFF.

If you are already familiar with my BE SET FREE FAST self-help program then you already know something about what I’ll be sharing with you. However, I plan to be sharing much more detail about the kinds of things you can treat that are related to or involved with depression. I expect this information to be helpful and useful, not only for people who are struggling in their coping with depression, but also for people who are trying to help other people deal with that issue.(Let me say here how much I appreciate people who are trying to help other people with their emotional distresses. I value all of you very highly.)

There are even some videos on there that show you the step-by-step process for doing the very simple BSFF treatment steps for yourself. In some previous posts I’ve already discussed public speaking anxiety, overcoming fear of public speaking. And I’ll probably be addressing some of those issues again. So, if you want asked about any of that puppy happy to respond also. Certainly I want to respond to anybody’s concerns about those issues, as well. But for now I want to address issues about depression –– to help you in coping with depression and in applying truly effective self help for depression. You will see how you can help yourself with this very debilitating issue –– he and get it completely out of your life.
