virginiaportrait1A “mentally disabled” toddler grew into a young man in an institutional setting. However, the institution suddenly closed due to mismanagement and cruelty. The only world this young man had known came to an abrupt item4c1b1end.

In his world, the young man and other patients suffered many years from inhuman treatment. Bath time consisted of being stripped of all clothing in a large group then being hosed down together with great forces of water in a large shower room. Food was slopped on a plate and wherever it landed, and without regard to the disabilities or capabilities of each patient, they were left to feed themselves with their hands and fingers.

When the facility closed, this young man was placed in a different institution where he and the other wards wereitem4d1 given care, rehabilitation and an education. The young man began to work at a job, learned to live in a small apartment and even with his disabilities had become very self-sufficient. When asked, “How did you sustain through all the cruelty, neglect and appalling conditions?” he replied, “I didn’t know any better, I thought it was normal.”

He thought “it was normal.” How many times do we utter the words or casually think, “It’s normal,” or “That’s just the way it is,” as we resign ourselves to some limiting belief we collectively accept as a truth? How many item4aUniversal Limiting Beliefs do we absolutely, unquestioning, wholeheartedly accept? Without blinking an eye, we accept them and then, of course, they become “true” and determine how we perceive the world around us and control the basis from which we make our choices.

We have a tremendous number of Universal Limiting Beliefs. They are everywhere. Some are obvious and some we just “don’t know any better” and think and act as if they are “normal” or “just the way it is.” Universal Limiting Beliefs are major deterrents to the effectiveness or the speed in which we move toward our goals, dreams, and wholeness.

With Be Set Free Fast [BSFF] we can change our personal limiting beliefs and those of clients in a very rapid pace. There are so many familiar limiting believes that we know about, for example, “we are not good enough”; “we don’t deserve to have what we want,” etc. But just as the young man lived in a world that was all he ever knew until forced into a different world, we too subconsciously operate from Universal Limiting Beliefs until we are forced or choose to experience our world differently.

In our culture there is a universal belief that giving birth is excruciating, dangerous and a painful fact of life. When a woman announces she is pregnant, she is very often bombarded with horror stories, offered classes and movies that promote the idea of painful labors and an array of pain-management and pain inducing item3drugs. I heard about a woman who taught that childbirth could be pain free and enjoyable for most women. When I heard of this woman’s “universal belief” about a less painful and even enjoyable experience childbirth, my first reaction was “this just can’t be true.” I caught myself “in the act” of maintaining a limiting belief, so I immediately used my BSFF cue word, changed the belief, and decided that I might some day check her out and I chose to be open to the possibility and thought, “wouldn’t it be wonderful if what she was teaching could be so”.

I took her training, loved her philosophy, her techniques and for a while became one of her practitioners. And, guess what? What she is teaching is true. I witnessed it first hand. Women giving birth, easily, safely, with little or no discomfort, without any medication of any kind and totally calm, present, alert and joyful as their babies gently emerged into this world. The sight astonished the health practitioners. I watched them fight with their own universal item7abeliefs about inevitable severely painful experience of childbirth and try to reduce the woman’s work to a fluke or that these women just had a high tolerance for pain. But the reality is that she consistently delivers children with an amazing amount of comfort and joy for hundreds of women.

Be Set Free FastWhat I learned most from Marie Mongan, founder of the HypnoBirthing Institute, illustrates the underlying theory of Be Set Free Fast [BSFF]: the body follows the beliefs in the subconscious mind. Our bodies respond to our thoughts, emotions and beliefs-both the conscious and the subconscious ones. I so admire and applaud Marie for her part in helping to explode a Universal Limiting Belief about one of the most common, precious and universal experiences of life. Marie Mongan believed that childbirth did not have to be routinely painful and her belief and actions influenced and is still changing the beliefs and experiences of many, many people.

With steady practice and inspired study, Be Set Free Fast [BSFF] can be a new doorway into the freedom of choice that we didn’t realize was even possible. The more we apply BSFF to both personal and universal limiting beliefs, we can watch miracles begin to happen. Why? Because miracles are normal.
