The Be Set Free Fast [BSFF] Discussion List

•Since 1999, the BSFFresearch Discussion List has been an active, cozy, “coffee shop type conversation” stop for many interested in exploring practical applications of Be Set Free Fast in their daily and professional lives. BSFFresearch List Director Don Elium, MA MFT, invites you to join the Be Set Free Fast neighborhood and the new improved discussion list for those who want to Be Set Free Fast-------dontvprmopicturea1

After witnessing Dr. Nims first presentation of Be Set Free Fast in San Francisco in 1998, I was hungry to know more. I loved all the presenters, however, Dr. Nims firm grasp of both psychology, therapeutic relationship, and energetics caught my interest. He also seemed so at ease and his method so simple and elegant, yet so effective. This was a time when “email discussion” lists were new, exciting, and a convenient way to learn with people everyday, and from the desktop. I thought I would gather three or four people and start a small private email discussion list for my own “little ongoing BSFF seminar.” So, I did.

Another thing I was drawn to was his excitement about learning both with and from others. His notebook from the conference was filled with other presenter’s ideas, to whom he freely gave credit. I didn’t know Larry that well yet, but I thought it couldn’t hurt to ask him. I called him up and he was delighted. The List began.

Soon, each person on the beginning list knew somebody who knew somebody who was interested in joining us. At this time the only way to learn BSFF, other than in Larry’s physical presence (now he works by phone most of the time), was through an email that Larry wrote that described the basic steps of BSFF (at this time it included tapping on meridian points, but that no longer is necessary). This email was duplicated and sent many times around the world. The more it was shared the more people wanted to join our small little group.

At first I wanted only a professional list for psychotherapists because that was my original desire: to help me learn this for myself and my clients. However, many who wanted to join the group were lay people who were both enthusiastic and accomplished with this simple, yet powerful technique. Therefore, The List soon grew to include anyone interested in studying, practicing, and sharing what they find from their use of BSFF.

Since 1999 The List has grown and grown. Our desire has never been large numbers, but “large” discussion of the practical use of BSFF in our personal and professional lives. Over the years the activity and the discussion subjects have been far, wide, deep, and at times extremely shallow--and humorous. I found that many are extremely interested, everyone is also very busy. So long winded postings went unread “till later” and it bogged down the discussions. But I did find, if kept light, to the point, and interesting, the conversation becomes like a good book or movie, that you can’t put down. So I kept the humor high, tried to keep the hurt feelings low, and included some entertainment along with the discussion. The List developed into a neighbor-type conversation. Similar to a local coffee shop, where no matter when you drop in you continue the current topic and banter that has been going on forever. So that is the atmosphere, a “coffee shop type” conversation about our study, practice, and experiences of BSFF and Everyday Freedom.

With the introduction of the Be Set Free Fast DVD in 2006, a new interest in BSFF began as the technique became more refined and more defined in it's uniqueness in the energy psychology and self-help world. More people wanted to have in-person training and communicate directly with people using BSFF regularly.

THE NEW IMPROVED DISCUSSION LIST!

Now, with the BSFF Level One Training in place, the discussion list element of BSFF Training and Education has been improved to deepen the learning of Be Set Free Fast. The BSFF eMagazine list is now the main source of most recent updates about training and general BSFF information. EACH NEW BSFF Level One Training group has their own private post-training discussion list for 60 days. Then, members of that group can elect to join the private BSFF Level One Training Alumni group.

THIS is where the action is. After a spirited sixty days of post-training learning you can elect to join the BSFF Training Alumni group and the training never ends.  Here is what BSFF Level One Oakland Alumna Jane Beard said about the post training discussion list:odonlarrypict2flat

"Of all the discussion groups I am part of, THIS is the one I rely on for actual USEFUL, actionable exchanges of ideas. My gosh, I can think of so many. And, when I think of the people I work with who have been HELPED by BSFF and the exchange of the ideas among us all, I get overcome by (good) emotion." • Jane Beard, Janebeard2@aol.com

What makes this list work is that it has the magic ingredients to maximize positive training outcomes:  People have met each other in person so there is a closer bond. Each person has the same training and background so you don't have different levels of info that interrupt discussion threads.  Everyone is reflecting on the same experiences. Everyone feels freer to share real, personal content since the list is private.

So, really, if you take advantage of the BSFF Level One Training, it just goes on and on and on and deep as you want to go.

And additional comments from folks who attended the BSFF Level One Training earlier this year continue to validate the benefits of BSFF and the training advantages:

"BSFF is an amazing adjunct to spiritual practice. I have been using it with clients and classes teaching meditation. People who could never meditate or quiet their mind can do so in a few minutes with BSFF. It enhances every practice that I do." • Barry Gordon, barryg@mac.com

We hope you will join us in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA from Nov. 2nd-4th. The weekend will be ONLY the beginning of a very, very rich leg of your journey.

Sincerely,
